David is a spoken word poet, arts educator, workshop leader, artistic director, producer and journalist. His latest book of poetry is As Close to the Edge Without Going Over (ChiZine).

He founded Toronto Poetry Slam, one of Canada's largest spoken word events. His first theatre show Jewnique debuted in Toronto in 2018.

He has  performed across Canada, including at events such as the Luminato Festival of the Arts, Canadian Stage's We Are Story, Word on the Street, Words Aloud Poetry Festival in Durham, Vancouver Poetry Slam, Saskatoon Poetry Slam, Throw Poetry Slam in Montreal and many more.

David's debut book of poetry Bags of Wires was published by LyricalMyrical Press in 2007. Since 2006, David has regularly run spoken word workshops in schools across Ontario, while also leading several seminars and workshops on journalism for writers of all ages.

His non-fiction work has been published in the The Washington Post, 
BBC News, The Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Vice, Buzzfeed, Canadian Business, Lift & Co Magazine, Ars Technica, NOW Magazine, Quill & Quire, Canadian Business, Canadian Jewish News,  PROHBTD, Pharmacy Business, Yale Alumni Magazine, Metro, Raptors Magazine and many more.

For 11 years, David was editor-in-chief of news network DigitalJournal.com, managing as many as 220 journalists from across the world.

As a commentator and panelist, David has appeared on CBC News, Global News, CTV News, CP24 and BNN.
