Grant Writing

Learn from my 20+ years of grant-writing experience!

Let’s face it, writing grants can be frustrating. It’s not for everyone. That’s where I come in: As an artist and artistic director, I’ve been writing grants for 24 years, both for my own creative projects as a spoken word and theatre artist and as part of the Toronto Poetry Project.

I can help artists, educators and non-profits write project grants for all three levels of our granting bodies in Canada. This is actually fun for me! I enjoy writing grants to win over jurors, to help earn you the highest possible fee to complete your project.

I have accumulated thousands of hours writing grants, including tabling projected budgets and marketing strategies. I’ve developed a blueprint for success, whether your project is personal or organizational.

I have experience writing grants for literary organizations, national artistic festivals, multi-year projects, professional development opportunities and tours.

If your non-profit or organization wants to engage in a multi-year or complex project, I am adept at translating high-level concepts into succinct language grant jurors can understand and appreciate.

Pricing is based on time required and the type of grant application.
