My new solo show Before & After debuted and is ready for more stages!
Introducing my new solo show Before & After, which I debuted in Toronto in 2021, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly encouraging! I intend to bring this important show on mental health and family to more audiences, especially to stages that haven’t programmed theatre work related to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. As I’ve learned over the past three years, OCD is under-represented in Canadian theatre content.

Before & After: A New Solo Show by David Silverberg
Father-son relationships can be complicated, especially when a young child navigates the drama brimming in a family rocked by a devastating mental health condition.
In this new solo show, I explore how OCD affected our family in myriad ways, and how secrecy and shame were critical challenges our family had to address as my father's condition worsened. But what never dissipated from my father's personality is his love of music and cheeky jokes.
Filled with pathos, vulnerability, and humour, Before & After is my most personal project yet.
